Time to take out the trash...

Was the frequent saying overheard from members of ChokeOnnit as they took the stage. Their mission from the very beginning was to lash out and deliver a severe beating squarely where it's been long overdue: On the increasingly commercialized & mediocre state of live music, as well as undervaluation and growing apathy toward the arts in general.

Don't get too close - you might lose a finger or something...

ChokeOnnit quickly developed a reputation with their live shows; Being in the same room with the band during a performance is much like diving into a dumpster full of broken glass - in your birthday suit.
Hundred-watt stacks pushed to their absolute fragmenting limits - guttural screams, groans and whimpers leaving most PA systems a smoking overheated mess. Drums played with such splintering force, that microphones are pointless.

These people are pissed and somebody's gonna listen.

The self-titled 5 song demo is a collection of dark, hard and deviously crafted post-punk wanting nothing more than to tear your heart out. A few of many songs concerning the dying arts, public image fetishes, capitalist religious zealots, existentialist conundrums, corporate control/destruction and true love. Ahh good times...

The audience doesn't know what's about to happen to them.
