Formed by Gerald Fratzl (guitar) and Bruce Headley (drums) in 2006, ChokeOnnnit was an experimental punk project that came about as a result of the breakups of their previous bands The Fheds and Poised for the Worm. Bassist Steve Brown and vocalist Vanessa Hanson joined soon after to complete the band's potent lineup. After releasing their 5 song demo, the band was featured on Skater Rock Vol. 1/2/3 which was distributed widely throughout the United States and Europe by Versailles Records of Nashville TN.

In early 2008 ChokeOnnit re-tooled with new members Travis Watts (drums) and Ian Laing (vocals) and continued on under the name Supermodel Autopsy. With the new lineup came a tighter hard-edged rock sound, and the band went into the studio to record a stunning version of Deuce for the licensed Kiss tribute CD Lick it Up - A millenium Tribute to Kiss issued on Versailles records.
